Williams County Idol Contest Rules

*** All Contestants must be 18 years of age by December 9, 2011

*** All Contestants must sign an official release form to participate and the form must be completed in its entirety.

*** Rules & Evaluation criteria are subject to change at any time.

*** The decisions of the judges are final.

*** The contest is open to both Men and Women.

*** Judging is based on singing, stage performance and creativity.

*** Scoring will be comprised of the judges decision and the crowd vote.
Percentages are 60% and 40% respectively.

*** One ballot vote per person, per night of the event. Ticket stubs used for voting purposes are color coordinated with the night of the event. If a stub is submitted for any night that does not correspond with that nights event, it will be discarded and will not be included in the count.

***All contestants must be present and prepared to perform each week until elimination.

*** This contest was developed as a fun, creative, high-energy event. We request that you execute the contest in a tasteful manner with respect for the sponsors, Williams County Chambers of Commerce, The Ramada Inn and the judges.

***No rude or abusive language will be allowed from contestants or guests and those not abiding by this rule may be escorted out of the venue without refund. Contestants not adhering to this rule will be disqualified from the contest.

***Only contestants, judges and authorized personnel are allowed in the staging area and designated areas.

*** No alcoholic beverages are permitted on-stage at anytime.

*** Williams County’s seven Chambers, The Ramada Inn, Jefferson Township Visitors Bureau, The Bryan Times, Huntington Bank, WBNO-WQCT and Bobbybee.Com have no affiliation with the judges. It is further stated that the contestants and audience members agree by waiver and purchase of tickets that they agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the above sponsors, groups or businesses and staff associated with Williams County Idol for any claims which may arise from participating in this event.
